The Langham

Mies van der Rohe’s IBM Building in Chicago was the country’s first high tech skyscraper. The building was renovated into The Langham, Chicago, the first hotel to be housed in a Mies van der Rohe building anywhere in the world. Liska created a variety of marketing materials that highlighted everything the hotel has to offer: views of the river and skyline, and luxurious spaces for weddings and events. We also designed a book for The Langham, Last Is More: Mies, IBM, and the Transformation of Chicago, which explores Mies’s legacy and influence on the city’s modern architecture.
